Contemporary Peruvian Shoulder Bags...

This group of woven shoulder bags are created by members of the village of Lares. They are all woven with sheep's wool that is colored with natural dyes. The design of these bags is similar to older weaving that you find in Peru and have a pocket on the front of the bag that you access from the inside. They are perfect for carrying ceremonial tools. The following group of woven shoulder bags are created by members of the village of Chahuaytire. They are all woven with sheeps wool that is colored with natural dyes. The weavings of this village are some of the finest that you will see. The weaving is very tight and the designs are more intricate than you see in other villages.
