Mestanas...

Peru has a long tradition of weaving, many of the sources of which are traced directly back to the Inca and tribes prior to the Inca. They are very practical people and their weaving traditions provided them with warm and beautiful clothing along with utilitarian objects used in everyday life. It also was the canvas used to depict images that were important to their culture, beliefs and ritual traditions. You can view a larger image by clicking on the mestanas.
