Chinchero WeaversPeru has a long tradition of weaving, many of the sources of which are traced directly back to the Inca and tribes prior to the Inca. They are very practical people and their weaving traditions provided them with warm and beautiful clothing along with utilitarian objects used in everyday life. It utilizes threads of the rich and deep colors….Deep Red, Ivory, Purple with small stripes of dusty lavender, crimson, olive green, red, teal and yellow. It is finished with the traditional tubular binding. The pattern represents the Apus (mountains), Qocha (lakes – water), Tika (flowers) and Apuchin (Condor).
